ヤマメ山荘

福岡の料亭ヤマメ山荘のポスター・紙袋、その他ブランディングツールを制作しました。
ヤマメ山荘は福岡県でヤマメを養殖し提供するお店です。庭園も素晴らしい日本料理屋さんでしたが2017年の
九州北部豪雨の時に土砂でお店も庭も埋まってしまいました。しかし店主が自分で重機を操縦し土砂を整理し、
お店を作り直し、行くたびに綺麗になっていく庭園をみて店主の情熱とバイタリティーに本当に驚かされました。
デザインは線の集積で川の流れを表現し、よく見るとその中にヤマメが隠れているパターンを制作。
紙袋、包装紙などに展開しました。名物のヤマメの串焼きには筆の跡がヤマメに見えるようなマークや
オリジナルコーヒーのパッケージもデザインしています。
デザインの裏テーマとして自然の美しさと怖さ、その中で生きる人々の強さもヤマメに重ね描きました。

I designed the poster, paper bags, and other branding tools for Yamame Sansou, a restaurant in Fukuoka that raises and serves yamame trout. The visual identity features a pattern of flowing lines symbolizing a river, with subtle yamame motifs hidden within the composition.
This pattern was applied across packaging elements such as paper bags and wrapping paper.
I also designed a brushstroke-inspired mark resembling a yamame for their signature grilled trout, as well as original coffee packaging.
Yamame Sansou is a traditional Japanese restaurant with a beautiful garden. However, during the 2017 Northern Kyushu floods,
both the restaurant and its garden were buried in sediment. The owner personally operated heavy machinery to restore the property,
rebuilding it with extraordinary passion and perseverance. Each visit revealed a garden more beautiful than before.
As a conceptual undercurrent, the design reflects the beauty and ferocity of nature,
and the strength of those who live in harmony with it—a spirit embodied by the yamame itself.
